Medals/Awards Training

Scout emblem training for adult volunteers will now take place online, with support offered from leadership within the Boston Catholic Committee on Scouting. This is being done in other dioceses and was planned before Covid-19 concerns. The online training program enables Scout volunteers to more seamlessly participate, without having to attend in-person trainings. This will make it possible for leaders to be trained on their own schedule and and without having to come to the Pastoral Center. The goal is to have the troops and packs be responsible for training, promoting the programs, and choosing coordinators, counselors and facilitators who best represent the ideals of the Catholic Church. Boards of Review will take place at the Parish level. Certification of completion of the training will be made through the Catholic Committee on Scouting via email. For questions on particular emblem(s) training, please email Margaret Juppe or Marie Erwin.
